Go to the mods folder in your witcher 3 installation directory. Open the folder for HDReworked. If there is another ’mods’ folder or another ’modHDReworked’ (or similar - basically ANY folder level between the top folder in the Witcher3/mods directory) before you reach a ContentX (X being a number) folder, it’s gone wrong. NexusMod user Hasukiii, created a mod for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt that makes the game playable on low spec systems. Although it does cause the otherwise gorgeous game, to look quite bad. If not, simply extract the files from the zip file, there shoud be a ’mod.nameofthemodhere.’ folder and all you do is copy that folder to the ’Mods’ folder in the Witcher 3 directory. There are some mods that require a bit more of work, but if I recall those two are that straightforward. C Program The Witcher 3 bin config base ’general.ini’ Opening this file you will have the string: ’ General ConfigVersion = ’number’ (my number is 2) replace that number with ’1’ save the file and start the game. Witcher 3, some mods working, others not - posted in The Witcher 3 Mod Troubleshooting: Edit: SOLVED Somehow when I re-installed the mods through NMM the first time all the files that actually did stuff.disappeared, I had the mod folders, and even all the subfolders, but they were all empty. I’ve been experiencing this issue the past few days, and it quite literally makes the game unplayable. After loading in, or even before, the game will just minimize to the desktop. I can select the game again, but there’s a 75% chance it just immediately minimizes again, or it does so a few seconds after going back in the game. This occurs in menus as well as the few seconds I’m actually in-game.
I’ve tried redownloading the game a few times on different drives and even updated my graphics drivers, but the issue still persists. Specs are as follows:
Motherboard: ASUS Maximus Hero XI
CPU: Intel I9-9900k
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070
RAM: 16GB
Currently on an SSD, but also occurs on an HDD
I have 2 mods installed: Auto Apply Oils, and Slots Slots SLOTS, but the game ran fine with them, this is a new issue.
